My Airtel App is good for me

Who ever said there is nothing as a free lunch has perhaps not heard about the My Airtel App  from the famous telecom provider Airtel that rewards its users for making a recharge. The best part is that these rewards that Airtel likes to call as Airtel Surprises are actually Coupons from various brands and cover a wide range of products and services from Wellness, to Food  eCommerce coupons. And coupons that can be used for shopping . In all there are a wide range of acclaimed value brands that make their coupons available through this app. The coupons that one gets on recharging can be from Amazon.in, flipkart.com, Ebay.in, Myntra.com, VLCC, CafĂ© coffer Day etc.

Since I am always on the lookout for the best deals on recharging I instantly approve of this app that is so promising and full of surprises and goodies. Each user is unique and so am I . So I like apps that let me customize its features so that I can instantly use the features that I want . I for one do a weekly recharge of 3 of our family mobiles that are prepaid connection. Do a monthly recharge of a Airtel DTH connection . And pay the monthly bill of the Airtel fixed line that is the primary home phone connection. The good part that this app i.e My Airtel App offers is the “I want to”  tab that sits prominently on the home screen So I can quickly and easily access and execute the tasks that I want to . As my needs grow and change I can easily change and modify my list of short cuts to accommodate from
Bill payments
Recharge
Buy packs
Record a program
Order games
View balance
Data consumed
Check recharge history

The third most important feature is the quickness with which it executes my bill payment, prepaid recharge and all financial is amazing. I let it save my credit card information for quick, accurate and speedy transaction because I know that all my information is secure in the app as it uses the PCIDSS certification. This is The  Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard and

It ensures my data is secure and all my information is in accordance to the Industry standard data handling as practiced by agencies handling branded credit cards.

When this app offers me so many features and security at the same time I see no reason why I should not be using it. Besides it gives me the option of adding and removing Airtel services . Live bill tracking lets me know my bill as soon as it is generated  and the moment I pay a bill I get notifications and confirmations. Even features like Wynk, Airtel Live and one touch Internet can be accessible from within the app. I find it gives me low balance alerts and whenever my data pack is low on balance I get the information. Every bill payment is easily executed and so is every recharge. I find this app to be custom made to address my needs and I welcome it .

News maker Kapil Dev and his EkNayiLeague

Whenever Kapil Dev opens his mouth he makes news and this time it is for a new league he is coming up with #EkNayiLeague I see a lot of ad videos on TV channels in which Kapil Dev is seeing talking about a lot of celebrities so I get the impression that the new league woulds involve a number of celebrities with Kapil Dev being the biggest celebrity host for the show. Making it a TV celebrity chat show and game show rolled into one.

He talks of people like Mr Dev Anand ,Mahindra Singh Dhoni, Sania Mirza , Yuvraj Singh and Kapil aka Bittu Sharma all these are names of celebrities from different fields. So it has to be a platform where celebrities get on a common platform.

Mr Kapil dev brings up the topic of retirement so I can safely assume that some of the participants on the show would be people who were on top of their career and then they retired. Then he quotes Mr Dev Anand's comment that a star never retires. So I feel that this new league would bring together people who have been on top of their chosen profession. The topic of discussion about Sania Mirza shows that it would not be just about people from his own profession that is cricket but from others sports like tennis as well.. Talking about tennis he brings up the topic of women tennis so surely his new league would have people specially women who have done well and excelled in other sports like tennis. Then he talks about Yuvraj Singh and how much money he has made. So his league would also have people who have made money in different fields. As he talks about the difficult phase that Yuvraj Singh went through when he was struggling health wise and then took a sabbatical of sorts from sports and then when he got back he worked hard to regain his spot in the Indian cricket gaming scene.

This talk indicated the fact that how hard a person has to prepare in order to get and remain fit. I feel the league would have a lot of hard working survivors who have worked hard to become stars and they have the ability to come stronger and harder so that they may regain their health, form and come back into focus and limelight. So the focus is about stars who have made it big by the dint of their talent and hard work. Next as he talks about the one man loved by all and his name sake that is Kapil aka Bittu Sharma. Mr Kapil Dev talks about how Bittu Sharma bowls googlies at his guests and similarly if he comes on Mr Kapil Devs new league he would get out if he plays with his heart. Perhaps he is indicating that this new league #EkNayiLeague is all about putting your mind over heart

Moments of Togetherness with my teacher changed my life

Our life is like a journey or a train ride that has many stops and as it stops at many stations so many people get on and off the train and in this process we come across many people. Some of these leave an unforgettable mark on our lives. The moments of togetherness spent with them gives us a new perspective of life and prepares us to face life. better and give us the insight to deal with life.
I was good in almost all the subjects however when it came to history my mind simply failed to tick and it almost shut down. However hard I tried the dates and the events just petrified me. It seemed like a mental block that I lived with for several years. Then in class X it was a do or die situation for me. As the marks obtained in class ten are used to decide what subjects I could take in class eleven. As I wanted to take science it was of paramount importance that I score well. However conquering history appeared to me a feat more difficult  than conquering the Everest. I was very lucky that I was good in other subjects so I thought of trying to make up for lack of good marks in history by scoring good marks in other subjects. However it was essential to pass in all subjects to be promoted to the next class. Class X being boards I could not take a chance. Then my mother took me to a history teacher who used to live close to our house. Since I was scared of the history subject I was even more petrified of the teacher as she looked at me sternly.  She looked at my report card and smiled at me. She asked me why I was getting such poor marks in history where as all my other marks were much better. I confessed that I got confused with dates and whenever I open my history book I start feeling sleepy. She understood my predicament and painstakingly explained each chapter to me. She taught me history as if she is telling me a story where each character is of equal importance. She assured me that I would not fail. She explained the details of each chapter as if she is explaining to a friend. Without the fear of failing and learning in a friendly way helped me learn and pickup the lessons quickly. This togetherness that I shared with my teacher made me realize the importance of every subject. I also started respecting her a lot.She was more of a friend than a teacher and now we were tied with the bond of being #together. Being with her I could discuss all my academics with her and she would  suggest shortcuts to memorize important information. Then one day before my exam she called me and gave me a ready reckoner she had prepared for me. It had all the dates and main points of my history syllabus clearly marked. With its help I could revise the entire syllabus withing two to three hours. This time spent with her had a life changing effect on me. My teacher had become a mentor, a friend and a guide.   She also taught me how to attempt the question paper. This helped me not only in the history paper but also in other papers as well. In fact the skills that I learned from her have helped me in every exam of my life.

Move On to Move Up

Change is always not welcome. But Change is inevitable. This is a truth with which we have to live with. Why cry and make it a big issue. My father's job is a transferable one and as his family we accompany him and move from one city to another whenever he is transferred. We have moved to every city in India. So when
someone asks me as to where am I from  I tell them with pride that I am an Indian. In class 3rd I was in Madras then when I got promoted to  class five I was studying in Shimla and when I got  into class 11, I was in Bangalore.Initially I felt my life was upside down.No friends and no city that I can call my own.
On my sixteenth birthday when I was sitting alone missing my friends whom I had met in different cities.my grandmother called me to her room. With low spirits I went to her room. Lovingly she asked me the reason for my unhappiness.I told her in an angry voice "I hate to move to new cities they are robbing me of my joy and happiness."She smiled and told me that change is moving forward, living better and its a chance to be the best, enjoy the best. I am blessed to get such an opportunity and I should make the most of it.I should start a new life with positive thoughts. That moment changed my thinking and my life.
I was always fascinated with the fashion world so I started studying different fashions and their fashion trends.I discussed the fashion trend with my other friends in different cities. I drafted new styles and did some experiments with  my clothes and styles. I created a new fashion statement which became the talk of the town.Every girl and boy in my class wanted to be my friend and get the fashion tips from me.
All of a sudden I became the Fashion Queen of my college.
Then I wrote a thank you note to my grandmother telling her how things had changed.I am no more an unhappy person. No more crying or frowning, or blaming my life and destiny. Even my parents are happy seeing a new me who is full of  confidence and happiness.
My grandmother felt happy too and she told me that like this  I should see life positively and welcome change in a positive way Change is not always bad.Its our fear of change that makes us unhappy as we have got used to our daily life and do not want to change.Life is full of challenges and only one who adjusts with the changes and makes it positive for oneself conquers and becomes a sikander.
I am a happy person now.I accepted the change and as a thank you gesture the change made my destiny for me.I found my aim and my field.in Fashion designing.I have my memories of the homes which I left in the past but my good memories and the knowledge which I gained is now my strength.I have one of the best fashion designing school NIFT. Moving on and change is my motto for a better living and a better life.

When Hope and Optimism showed me the Way

Though I am young and inexperienced about life I have realized that hope and optimism are the propellants that help us reach our goals and achieve our dreams.
What experience led me to this conclusion is as follows. I live with my mother who is chronically ill. My family consists of me, my mother and my father who is posted in another city. As a result I am the one who looks after my mother. Since she remains ill quite often by the time I reached class ten, I had seen almost all the hospitals in our city as I used to take my mother for treatment to one hospital or the other. So much interaction with the doctors and the hospital staff left me very impressed with the medical profession. So much so that I decided to become a doctor myself and pursue the noble profession of medicine. Thus I opted for science subjects in school. I worked hard and appeared for the medical entrance exams after passing out of school. My papers went well and I hoped that I would get a seat in a medical college in my own city. However destiny had other plans for me. When the results came my name was not in the merit list. My dreams were shattered, I did not know what to do. It was the darkest hour of my life. Then my mother appeared as the harbinger of hope and optimism. She suggested that if I were serious about pursuing the medical profession then I can give it another try next year. In the meantime I could join the college of nursing. This would do two things. One it would keep me connected with the medical profession and secondly what I study at the nursing college would come in handy after I join a medical college the next year.
My mother’s inspirational words showed me the path that would take me closer to my goals and so I joined the nursing college. I studied diligently at the college and in the free time prepared for the medical entrance exams for the following year. As the exams drew close my preparations reached a feverish pitch. That was also the time when my grandmother came to our house for a few days stay.
Just two days before the exam she fell unconscious. My mother who discovered her in this condition started panicking and started calling out my name. I rushed to the scene and we decided to call the ambulance and take her to the hospital. As my mother went to call up the ambulance I started examining my grandmother. I found that she was not breathing. Seeing her in this condition I broke into a cold sweat. Then I realized that I was being trained as a nurse so I used that knowledge and started giving my grandmother CPR (artificial breathing). After every few minutes I checked her pulse and breathing. Soon she coughed and started breathing normally. I was greatly relieved. Then the doctor and the ambulance arrived . They did her ECG and did a check-up. When they came to know about what I had just done, they patted my back and congratulated me. I then realized how useful the nursing training had been for me. Had I not listened to my mother and joined a nursing college, I would have been deprived of the knowledge that saved my grand mothers life.

For me this was a big achievement that brought a smile to my face and became a great morale booster for me.  The hope and optimism given to me by my mother had today made me a life saver . Is it not what I had always wanted to do by becoming a doctor?

Thank you Pampers for keeping my baby Dry and Happy

When my baby arrived my happiness knew no bounds. I was on top of the world. I made it a point to tend to it 24 X 7 . I promised to myself that I would take good care of my little baby I ended up pampering it and paying attention to its every need. I would give it a oil massage that he enjoys enormously. Then during a bath he would splash the water around like a fish. When I dried it then it would kick the air with its tiny feet and make all kinds of joyous noises.
As he grew and began to crawl and walk the entire home became his playground. He  would run around and play with all his toys ans sometimes with his imaginary friends.
Looking at him so happy and full of joy takes me back to the time when one day I found him crying incessantly  without any reason. I tried to feed him but could not. I even tried to put him in his cradle and tried to swing him but this too did not pacify or soothe him. I was in a fix . Then I called up my mother in law . She suggested that I check for a nappy rash. I examined the baby and found there were pink and red patches on the skin. Oh my little baby had his share of rashes. It must have been very painful for my little one. I was perplexed as to why my baby got these rashes when I changed the diapers frequently and checked them regularly. My mother in law told me that though the diapers appear to be dry from outside but they are wet from inside when the baby makes them wet.She suggested that I should switch to  Pampers Baby Dry Pants
That day I decided to switch to Pampers Baby Dry Pants.
They are so easy to put on and remove that what ever my baby's position I can easily change them. To remove them all I have to do is tear them from the side and they come off.
Pampers Baby Pants use the magic gel technology that keeps moisture away from the baby's skin and locks it away with its gel so my baby's skin is always dry.
Each Pampers Baby Pants can keep my baby dry for up to 10 to 12 hours. It is effective for up to six wetting's. The best part is that it has a nice amount of baby lotion that ensure a healthy skin. As it nourishes and protects the skin of my little one against rashes ,irritation and allergies. Now my beautiful little baby remains always happy. It plays and trots around the house. I feel to happy that I have been able to keep him free from wetness due to poor quality diapers, I have also noticed that not only does my baby remains dry he is always so much happier. All this is due to Pampers Baby Dry Pants
